In 2010, after nearly 25 years as a Certified Public Accountant, Giancarlo Pozzi opened Pozzi Tax Services (formerly ZoomTax) to offer tax preparation services to those who, at first glance, may not consider hiring a CPA for tax preparation, due to the high-cost expectation of a CPA. However, many taxpayers receive incomplete or inaccurate tax services, and don’t realize that they were entitled to a larger refund (or a lower liability).

Our experience indicates that about 50% of the returns that come to our office contain errors, and most of them are amended for a refund.

Our office welcomes all kinds of tax returns, especially those for which there are open tax issues, or un-answered questions.

We are a hard-working office that chooses to work with clients in a non-hurried way. We employ an extensive tax interview during wich all open-year returns are reviewed in depth, and that’s where most inaccuracies are identified.

At ZoomTax, we transfer “control” of the relationship from the tax-preparer to the client. Our clients rarely need to wait unattended when preparing for an interview, and we follow a streamlined approach in handling client visits. Most importantly, we encourage client communications throughout the year, by calling, emailing, or stopping by. There is never a charge for this.  We encourage the clients to approach us with questions, or to share changes that could impact their tax filing. We gain knowledge from this approach that allows us to be extremely well-informed at the time the return is prepared.
